== Biography ==
Fidjeland was born in Stockholm in 1955.<ref name="kalmar" /> She spent parts of her childhood in Portugal, Lebanon, Afghanistan, and Iran, experiences that influenced her artistic perspective.<ref name="kalmar" /><ref name="artmajeur" />

In 1978, she lived in the artists’ village of Ein Hod in Israel, where she studied stained glass with Professor Joseph Chaaltiel.<ref name="kalmar" /><ref name="artmajeur" /> After returning to Sweden, she contributed to the reconstruction of glass details for the Vasa Museum’s work on the 17th-century '''Vasa''' ship.<ref name="kalmar" />
